The divorced dad said he still loves the Material Mom but in the same breath slapped her with a not-so politically correct insult.
"I still love her," Ritchie told Esquire, "but she's retarded, too."
The "Snatch" director said he was upset about their 8-year marriage ending and was still reeling from the pain of going through a divorce, which was finalized nearly a year ago.
"You can't tell someone when they're getting divorced that their pain is an illusion," he told the magazine. "I'm f---ing telling you, I feel it, I've been through that. You have, too. No one can say you don't feel that."
He did get back to lavishing praise on Madge, saying she's a diligent worker.
"She's a manifester, if there ever was one," he said. "First-rate manifester. Madonna makes things happen. Put Madonna up against any 23-year old, she'll outwork them, out-dance them, outperform them. The women is broad."
