Jaime Pressly Pleads Not Guilty in Drunk Driving Case

"My Name is Earl" star also ordered to report for AA

If only you could plead for better headlines.

Emmy-winning actress Jaime Pressly pleaded not guilty to a pair of drunk driving charges Friday, three days after being formally charged in connection with her Jan. 5 arrest at a traffic stop in southern California, The Associated Press reported.

The ex-“My Name is Earl” star, whose lawyer entered the plea on Pressly’s behalf, canceled Las Vegas appearances set for later this evening, E! News reported.

Pressly reportedly faces up to six months behind bars if convicted of driving under the influence and having a blood alcohol content 0.20 or higher.

She has already been ordered to report for Alcoholics Anonymous meetings at least twice a week, according to the AP.

The charges come nearly two weeks after Pressly announced she'd pulled the plug on her marriage to entertainment lawyer Simran Singh, her hubby of a little more than a year.

She’s also found herself in the sights of the IRS for allegedly owing $637,000 in back taxes to the government, according to E!
