Melanie Griffith Checks Into Rehab

Actress Melanie Griffith has checked herself into a rehab facility for the third time, the star's representative said Monday.

Griffith, 52, is staying at the Cirque Lodge in Utah, the celebrity rehab enclave that's hosted Hollywood elite like Kirsten Dunst and Lindsay Lohan as they recover from addiction.

Griffith checked into the Cirque Lodge for routine treatment to deal with her past addictions, Griffith's rep told Entertainment Tonight.

"She is there to reinforce her commitment to stay healthy," Griffith's rep said. "This is part of a routine plan that was designed between her and her doctors years ago."

The mother of three and wife of Antonio Banderas has been to rehab twice before. She visited a facility in 1988 to battle an addiction to alcohol and cocaine and was also treated in 2000 for her addiction to painkillers.

Griffith is known for starring in films like "Working Girl," which earned her a Golden Globe and an Academy Award nomination. She's the daughter of Tippi Hedren, muse of director Alfred Hitchcock and star of "The Birds."
