Michael Lohan Accused of Harassing Fiancee Kate Major

Former Gosselin ex and tabloid scribe wins temporary restraining order on LiLo's dad

Now it’s Papa Lohan’s turn in the courtroom.

Michael Lohan has been been charged with harassing fiancée Kate Major, the former tabloid scribe and onetime Jon Gosselin flame, Access Hollywood and TMZ reported.

Major has accused Lohan of knocking her down and kicking her in the face during an argument Monday afternoon in Long Island, just one day before Lohan was seen cheering on his estranged daughter Lindsay as she surrendered to a judge in Los Angeles.

After filing a domestic violence report with the Southampton Town Police, the ex-Star reporter won a temporary restraining order against Lohan, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.

In addition to being prohibited from communicating with Major, Lohan has also been ordered to "immediately surrender all handguns, pistols, rifles, shotguns and other firearms owned or possessed. "

Lohan’s lawyer Lisa Bloom conceded in a statement to entertainment news outlets Thursday that the pair argued on Monday. But Bloom denied any threatening behavior and said Lohan is “fully cooperating with the police investigation”

"Michael Lohan 100% denies each and every one of Kate Major’s allegations,” Bloom said. “He has never threatened to harm her, never assaulted her, and never physically abused her in any way. Kate was heavily intoxicated during the verbal argument between Michael and Kate in the early afternoon on Monday.”

According to Access and TMZ, Lohan has been charged with second degree harassment and is to be formally arraigned Aug. 18 in Long Island.

Bloom told TMZ Lohan has not yet been served with the criminal complaint and is "100% innocent."

"Most often, second degree harassment violations are resolved by the payment of a fine of up to $250." Bloom said. "Second degree harassment is the lowest level charge that can be brought in connection with an alleged domestic violence incident, when there are no substantial physical injuries alleged, which is the case here."
