Better baby-proof the bachelor pad.
Melissa Rycroft, the one-time spurned lover on ABC’s “The Bachelor” turned “Dancing with the Stars” alum and newlywed to insurance agent Tye Strikland, is pregnant.
"Apparently Tye and I wanted to see how many life-changing events we could fit into one calendar year," Rycroft told “Good Morning America” on Wednesday. "From getting engaged, married, new job, and we are now pregnant."
Rycroft, 27, and Strickland met three years ago and rekindled their on and off relationship when Rycroft was famously dumped on TV following the 2009 season of “The Bachelor,” according to GMA.
In a March reunion episode of that year, “Bachelor” Jason Mesnick said he’d rather pursue a relationship with his runner-up, Molly Malaney. The pair later married.
Rycroft went on to compete on “Dancing with the Stars” and is set to co-host “Bachelor Pad” on ABC this summer, a new reality show where 19 personalities from past seasons of “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” compete to win $250,000.
With Rycroft and Strickland having just married in December, she said finding out that she is due in February was a “shock.”

"It's the most wonderful surprise in the world," Rycroft told Usmagazine.com. "He wanted the kids right away, and I was laughing at him going, 'No, not ready!'"
