Prince William wants to have a child with his wife Kate — but there’s no telling when.

"I'm just very keen to have a family, and both Catherine and I, you know, are looking forward to having a family in the future," the Duke of Cambridge, 29, told Katie Couric in an interview in the ABC News special “The Jubilee Queen with Katie Couric,” which aired Tuesday night.

The 29-year-old prince did not give details when Couric pressed him for more information, however.

"You won't get anything out of me. Tight lipped,” he said, after months of speculation about plans he and his wife Katherine, Duchess of Cambridge, might have for children.

Prince William’s little brother Prince Harry, 27, told Couric he too wanted children someday — once he’s found the right partner.

“I’ve longed for kids since I was very, very young,” he said. “I’m waiting to find the right person.”

Whenever Will and Kate do have a child, their first will now be eligible to take the throne one day, regardless of gender — thanks a change last year to the rules of succession to allow first-born children of either gender to assume it.
