“Narnia” Drew The Queen's Tears, Says Neeson

Her Highness got choked up during emotional seen, says actor

Making the Queen of England cry is as good as any rave review for a movie.

Liam Neeson, who stars in the newest installment of the animated series, "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader," said both he and her majesty got emotional during the royal premiere.

"I shed a tear the other night and I was told the Queen shed a few tears as well," he told a news conference on Thursday.

Neeson is the voice of the lion Aslan in the movies, based on the children's classics by C.S. Lewis.

The first Narnia picture, "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe," came out in 2005 and took in $745 million in global ticket sales. The followup, "Prince Caspian," came out in 2008 and did a somewhat disappointing $420 million.

There are seven books in the series, and producer Mark Johnson said he hopes to keep the franchise going.

"It's certainly no secret that we'd like to make one more, and actually, we'd like to make several more," he said.
