Nicholas Cage's Ex Files $13 Million Suit Against Actor

Christina Fulton alleges fraud and breach of contract

Nicholas Cage’s money problems aren’t getting any easier.

The mother of Cage’s 18-year-old son has filed a $13 million lawsuit against the actor, claiming his financial missteps have left her deep in debt, People reports.

Christina Fulton, 42, says in court records that Cage broke a contract after promising her a L.A. home to raise their son Weston in but then allegedly telling her to move out in September. She also reportedly blames Cage for owing back taxes and for her credit card debt.

Cage, who owes $6.3 million to the IRS himself and has defaulted on a $2 million loan, blames his accountant for his money woes. He has begun to make up the difference by selling homes, cars and yachts, according to People.

The accountant, Samuel Levin has countersued, accusing Cage of “compulsive, self-destructive spending.”

Cage's attorney Marty Singer told People Fulton’s lawsuit was “ridiculous and absurd.”

“Nicolas Cage has given her approximately three million every year for many years, even though he was only obligated to pay her six thousand a month in child support,” he said. “We expect this lawsuit to be promptly thrown out."
