Regis Philbin channeled his inner dirty old man Thursday after singer Nicki Minaj performed, putting his hands dangerously close to her lady parts, tapping her derriere and then lamenting his waning virility.
Moments after Minaj sang her hit "Right Thru Me" on "Live! With Regis and Kelly," Philbin and co-host Kelly Ripa greeted Minaj on stage.
"I love the way you dress, this looks like you've got a little strap around you there," he added, touching the hem of her frock, then slapping her tush.
"Regis! What just happened?" Ripa exclaimed.
But the 79-year-old Philbin was just getting started. When the conversation moved to Minaj's mentoring at the hannds of Lil Wayne, she said the svengali rapper advises her to "go hard."
"Go hard? I wish I could," Regis quipped.
A good-natured Minaj later tweeted, "LOL. I was in shock!"
Minaj's album 'Pink Friday' sold 375,000 copies in its first week and its currently at the number two position on the Billboard charts.
