The man who commanded Deep Space Nine in Star Trek in the 1990s was pulled over in Wilton and charged with DUI.

Avery Brooks, who played Capt. Benjamin Sisko in the TV show "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine," was arrested last weekend in the wealthy suburb about 50 miles northeast of Manhattan.

Brooks, 63, also had the role of Hawk on "Spenser: For Hire" in the 1980s.

He is set to be arraigned in Norwalk next week.

Local police said they pulled over the Princeton, New Jersey man shortly after 10 p.m. Sunday after receiving a complaint about his driving.has been charged with driving under the influence in Wilton. 

It's not clear if Avery has a lawyer. He's due in court on Feb. 9.
