“The Dark Knight” director Chris Nolan won’t be coming back to Gotham City right away.
As he did after filming “Batman Begins” with magician drama “The Prestige,” Nolan will be taking time off from the Caped Crusader again to focus on a different project.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, his next effort will be “Inception,” a “contemporary sci-fi auctioneer set within the architecture of the mind,” based on a script by Nolan himself.
The film is reportedly set to shoot this summer, with a release date planned for summer 2010.
That means it could be a while before the helmer can dig into Batman again, but it seems as if he’ll have the opportunity.
The box-office smashing “Dark Knight” is nominated for eight Oscars at The Academy Awards ceremony on February 22.
