Amber Tamblyn Promoted to Series Regular on Two and a Half Men

Two and Half Men...and a lady!

Amber Tamblyn, who joined the CBS sitcom this year as a guest star, has been promoted to a series regular after just one episode, the network announced today.

Tamblyn plays Jenny, the illegitimate daughter of Charlie Harper (Charlie Sheen) who moved back to Los Angeles to try her hand at acting and find whatever family she has left. She moved in with Walden (Ashton Kutcher) and her uncle Alan (Jon Cryer). And yes, she is just like her father. Her two loves are booze and women.

Before Tamblyn was cast, creator Chuck Lorre described Jenny as "a pretty remarkably strong and ballsy character" and "a chip off the old block".

Lorre added: "The idea that she loves women seems to be something that just felt right."

Tamblyn's TV acting credits include "House" and "Joan of Arcadia," the latter of which earned her an Emmy and Golden Globe Award nomination. Her film resume includes as "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants," "127 Hours" and "Django Unchained."

"Two and Half Men," currently in its 11th season, airs on Thursday nights on CBS.
