2014 American Comedy Awards Nominations

The nominations for the 2014 American Comedy Awards are out, and you, the fans, get to have a say in which actor/TV series/movie and viral video get to take home an award when the ceremony airs May 15 on NBC.

"We are thrilled to recognize the amazing nominees for the American Comedy Awards in our first broadcast of this awards telecast," said Paul Telegdy, President, Alternative and Late Night Programming, NBC Entertainment. "This special will be a true celebration of the best talent in comedy and is sure to be an evening filled with laughs."

Comedy Central leads the nominations with a total of 12, followed by NBC with 11. In the film categories, “This Is the End” snagged 7 nominations, followed by “Nebraska” with 6. In the TV categories, NBC’s “Parks and Recreation” leads all series with 6 nods, while “Key & Peele” and “Modern Family” follow with 5 nominations each.

The Awards honor those who have achieved new heights during the past year in both film and television, as well as pay tribute to some of comedy’s most enduring personalities.

Winners will be determined through a combination of fan voting and voting among entertainment industry professionals.

Voting in all 19 categories is now open and you can cast your vote here or on Facebook via the American Comedy Awards Facebook Voting App.

Voting ends at 11:59 p.m. ET/8:59 p.m. PT on March 18. You must be at least 13 years old to vote.

Nominations were voted by members of the American Comedy Awards Voting Committee, a panel consisting of 860 working professionals from the comedy community, including writers, performers, producers, directors and stand-ups.
