Beckham Used Body Double in New H&M Film

Eagle-eyed fans raised concerns that the soccer superstar used a stunt double in the new Guy Ritchie-directed short film shot to promote his H&M bodywear line.

Many fans would agree that there are few men as physically attractive as David Beckham. Aside from his body double that is.

Eagle-eyed viewers raised concerns Wednesday that the soccer superstar used a stunt double in the new Guy Ritchie-directed short film shot to promote his H&M bodywear line. The doubts arose in relation to Beckham's numerous tattoos - some of which appear to disappear in certain scenes.

In response to the speculation, the global clothing retailer revealed that onscreen Beckham is in fact not not truly the sum of his parts. "David was very involved in the advert including doing most of the stunts," a rep for H&M said in a statement. "Due to his tight schedule a body double was used in smaller parts of the video."

The father of four—who has just found a new home at Paris Saint-Germain football club in France after leaving L.A. Galaxy last year—also confirmed the use of a body double during a H&M Twitter chat Wednesday, telling a fan: "Hi @lizwren yes I did pretty much all my own stunts, was good fun //Beckham."

The film shows an underwear-clad Beckham getting locked out of his house and going on an adventurous chase through his neighborhood in order to regain the bathrobe that was caught in the door of the car presumably ferrying the couple's children off to school.
