Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick Perform Cyndi Lauper's ‘True Colors' at Cannes Film Festival

Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick are showing their musical true colors in a duet.

While celebrities have flocked to the French Riviera to promote their upcoming films, the Grammy winner and Tony Award nominee took the stage at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival for a surprise performance of the Cyndi Lauper hit "True Colors."

"We are Anna and Garfunkel," Timberlake introduced the duo with a guitar in his hands. "Ok, we are going to give this a go, but you guys have to be nice."

"We're just friends here right?" Kendrick joked. "This isn't like a big deal...we're just hanging out in our living room."

While they tried to downplay the special performance in honor of their film together, "Trolls," no one could expect the kind of touching moment that was about to ensue.

After years without any new music, Timberlake is returning to the scene stronger than ever. Just a week ago, the new dad released his latest single, "Can't Stop the Feeling." Along with the track, Timberlake also released a video featuring him and his celebrity friends jamming out to the beat. Among the star-studded cast was James Corden, Gwen Stefani and – you guessed it – Kendrick.
