Lindsay Lohan's New Accent Gets an Explanation

Many were scratching their heads why the American-born star was sounding different

It's the accent that almost broke the Internet.

Video of a strangely accented Lindsay Lohan speaking outside her Greek club opening last month recently emerged and had many scratching their heads over why the New York-born star's voice sounded so different.

It looks like we may have an answer.

The DailyMail.com quoted Lohan as explaining the accent was a result of her trying out a "mixture of most of the languages I can understand or am trying to learn." Lohan has been living in London this year.

The Mail said she told them she has been learning different languages since childhood and is now fluent in English and French but "can understand Russian and am learning Turkish, Italian and Arabic."

Host Jimmy Fallon takes suggestions from the audience, including one where he sings a duet of “To All the Girls I’ve Loved Before” with Telemundo’s Don Francisco.
