Melissa Rycroft's family is getting bigger. The former "Bachelorette" contender and "Dancing With the Stars: All-Stars" champ announced that she is pregnant with her second child on Tuesday, Oct. 22. "The dancing family is growing," Rycroft said on "Good Morning America." "We have a little bundle growing."
Married to Tye Strickland since 2009, the 30-year-old brunette is already mom to daughter Ava, 2. Rycroft did not announce her due date, saying only the baby is expected to arrive "this spring, next season." The baby's gender is not yet known.
She also shared the news via social media, tweeting a picture of her Clear Blue pregnancy test and posting a picture of her family on Facebook. "Sooo...It's official, the Strickland Family is growing by one next Spring," Rycroft wrote. "Ava is so excited to be promoted to Big Sister!! We are so excited for our new little addition!!"
Rycroft vied for Jason Mesnick's affections during the Season 13 of "The Bachelor." Though she accepted his proposal in the season finale, the business development manager dumped her in front of millions of viewers during the requisite "After the Final Rose" special. He later married runner-up Molly Malaney.
The former Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader was a last-minute replacement for TV host Nancy O'Dell during Season 8 of "Dancing With the Stars." Under partner Tony Dovolani's guidance, Rycroft shimmied her way to a third place finish. When she returned for the "All-Stars" season in 2012, she was again paired with Dovolani. This time, however, they won the coveted Mirror Ball trophy.
