Dustin Diamond, Screech From “Saved by the Bell,” Arrested After Bar Fight

Actor Dustin Diamond, best known for playing Screech in the hit '90s television show "Saved by the Bell," was arrested in Wisconsin after he allegedly stabbed a man in a bar fight late Christmas night.

Port Washington police said the former kid actor fought with another patron at the Grand Avenue Saloon, allegedly stabbed him and then fled with his girlfriend.

Diamond and his girlfriend were both arrested after police say they found a switchblade knife in his SUV.

Diamond appeared in court Friday after being held in the Ozaukee County jail. He was charged with recklessly endangering safety, carrying a concealed weapon and use of a dangerous weapon.

His girlfriend was charged with disorderly conduct and released.

The man police say Diamond stabbed was recovering at home, after being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Diamond played the classic nerd on the hit sitcom that launched his career as a kid actor. Since the show, he resurfaced to the spotlight in 2006 when he directed and released his own sex tape "Screeched: Saved by the Smell."

Diamond wrote a tell-all book called "Behind the Bell" in 2009 and has been a reoccurring reality star on shows like "Celebrity Fit Club" and "Celebrity Big Brother."

Information of Diamond's attorney wasn't immediately available.
