MTV says it has a special present for Miley Cyrus on her 21st birthday: She's getting the channel.
The pop star will host what MTV is calling an eight-hour "celebration" of her milestone birthday Saturday, starting at noon EST.
The programs include "21 Candles: Miley's MTV Moments," offering 21 reasons for Cyrus' popularity. It will be followed by a repeat showing of the MTV film "Miley: The Movement Deluxe Edition."
MTV said Thursday that Cyrus also will serve up two of her favorite MTV shows, "Awkward" and "Snooki and Jwoww."
The singer-actress has been skillful at drawing attention for herself and MTV, including her controversial twerking at summer's Video Music Awards and this month's MTV European Music Awards.
Cyrus also smoked a joint onstage at the Amsterdam ceremony.
