Kim Kardashian rented out the Staples Center in Los Angeles Monday in order to celebrate husband Kanye West's 38th birthday, gathering a slew of his famous and not-so-famous friends in order to play a little basketball. Oh, and John Legend was even on hand to sing the national anthem.
Kardashian's blowout birthday bash isn't the first time the celebrity power couple has held an extravagant event.

Kardashian and West went all-out for daughter North’s first birthday party on June 21, 2014, six days after her actual birth date. The proud parents held a “Kidchella”-themed party in Kardashian’s sister Kourtney’s backyard. The celebration, which was modeled after California’s annual Coachella music festival, featured a Ferris wheel and face painting. It is rumored that North's second birthday will be celebrated at Disneyland. Park officials said they do not comment on private parties and that the park will be open for business on June 15.
Kardashian and West married at the Forte di Belvedere, a picturesque abandoned fortress in Florence, Italy, on May 24, 2014. Kardashian wore a Givenchy Haute Couture gown, and the two tied the knot in front of a floor-to-ceiling white flower backdrop designed to complement Kardashian’s dress.
Ahead of their blowout nuptials, Kimye enjoyed a lavish wedding rehearsal party, touring Paris and the Palace of Versailles before heading to Florence.
Kanye West proposed to then-girlfriend Kim Kardashian on Oct. 21, 2013, her 33rd birthday. West rented out the AT&T Park in San Francisco and popped the question in front of friends and family. The Jumbotron flashed the message, “PLEEEASE MARRY MEEE!!!” as a 50-piece orchestra performed Lana Del Ray’s “Young and Beautiful,” followed by Keri Hilson’s “Knock You Down.”
