James Cameron promised that the extra 9 minutes he's added to Avatar, set to be re-released theatrically on August 27, will "spice it up a bit."

Some of that heat will come from a previously deleted love scene between two Na'vi, the films blue-skinned aliens.

"You mean the alien kink scene?" Cameron joked with MTV News.  "It's been restored, every last minute of it."

But the "Titantic" director was quick to assure viewers that parents won't have to cover their children's 3D glasses during the added scenes.

"It does not change our rating at all," he said.  "I would call it more of an alien foreplay scene.  It's not like they're ripping their clothes of and going at it."

Cameron told Access Hollywood that other new scenes include extra battling, a new, and even more exotic species.

The next two installments of the Avatar series will be shot back to back, the director confirmed, but played coy on the time table.

He did reveal another project  in the works, a historical movie titled "the Last Train From HIroshima," about a survivor of the atomic blast there.  The director hinted that the second and third Avatar movies might have to come after the World War II flick.

The "Avatar" sequel is set to take place on the same planet, Pandora, but this time under the ocean.

"I'm going to be focusing on the ocean on Pandora, which will be equally rich and diverse and crazy and imaginative, but it just won't be a rain forest," Cameron told the L.A. Times.

And as for part three?  "We created a broad canvas for the environment of the film," Cameron said.  "That's not just Pandora, but throughout the Alpha Centauri AB system."
