Sex, lies, and paternity?

An Australian woman has reportedly sued director Steven Soderbergh, saying the married Oscar-winner fathered her five-month-old daughter and should pay child support.

Frances Lawrencina Anderson’s paternity suit, filed Wednesday in a Manhattan court, claims she and Soderbergh carried on a sexual relationship when he was in Australia to direct a play in 2009, The Associated Press reported.

After Anderson became pregnant with Soderbergh’s baby, the “Traffic” and “Sex, Lies, and Videotape” director helped pay her medical bills, the suit alleges.

Pearl Button Anderson was born Aug. 30.

Anderson also claims Soderbergh “acknowledged that he is the father of the child verbally” and a DNA test confirms he is Pearl's baby daddy, the AP reported.

In addition to paying child support and insurance, Anderson wants Soderbergh to be legally declared Pearl’s dad, according to the New York Daily News.

Soderbergh won a Best Director Academy Award for "Traffic" in 2001. He wed second wife Jules Asner, the former E! personality, two years later.

The filmmaker has so far not commented on the suit.
