Bill Condon is in talks to direct two "Twilight Saga" films, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Bill Condon is in talks to direct not one, but two "Twilight Saga" films, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The mag reported that the "Dreamgirls" director is negotiating to helm the adaptation of the series' fourth and final book, "Breaking Dawn," which will reportedly be split into two films.

Deadline was the first to report the Condon news.

According to EW, Summit Entertainment also considered Gus Van Sant and Mark Waters. "Marie Antoinette" director Sofia Coppola reportedly pursued the director's chair as well but did not want to direct two films.

Summit would not confirm the news when reached by Access Hollywood.

The third film in the top-grossing teen saga, "Eclipse," is due on June 30.

In August 2009, new "Twilight Saga" star BooBoo Stewart broke the news to Access Hollywood that the film franchise would be five, not four, films.

"I heard there's going to be three more movies," he told AccessHollywood.com's Laura Saltman at the time. "'Eclipse,' 'Breaking Dawn,' and there should be one more."

The star's rep also noted the additional films when BooBoo's casting was announced to Access.

At the time, Summit told Access that BooBoo's news was "uninformed and not accurate."
