Ferris Bueller Hot Rod for Sale

Ferris Bueller Ferrari: Yours for $67,000

A piece of '80s movie history is for sale.

The iconic red Ferrari that died at the hands of Ferris Bueller’s angst fuelled friend in the classic “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” hits the auction block April 19th at the Royal Air Force Museum at Hendon, U.K., reports the Wall Street Journal.

The 1961 Ferrari 250 GT Spyder Californias is one of three phony Ferrari’s made for the film.  While it’s not the real thing  - it’s made out of fiberglass -  it can be bought  for $67,000 dollars, according to the Sun-Times

Not a bad deal considering a real Ferrari Spyder sold for $11 million a few years ago. And while real maybe somewhat better, those Ferrari’s can’t claim they ended one of the most defining movies of the '80s by taking a nose dive out of a house in the Chicago suburbs.

And speaking of that house in Highland Park, it’s for sale too. The asking price for that is 1.8 million dollars.  How great would it be if some die-hard, millionaire fan reunited the two - -someone one who appreciates that life moves pretty fast.  And if you don’t stop and look around you could miss it.
