    The documents confirmed a coroner's ruling that Cornelius' cause of death was due to a self-inflicted gun shot to the head.

    Autopsy results on former "Soul Train" host Don Cornelius revealed he suffered an aneurysm 15 years ago which caused him to suffer from seizures for the rest of his life, an E! News report revealed on Tuesday.

    The documents also said he was in declining health since the aneurysm and that "as time went on the decedent's health continued to decline regardless of his medication."

    The documents also confirmed a coroner's ruling that Cornelius' cause of death was due to a self-inflicted gun shot to the head.

    According to the autopsy report, Cornelius called his son at 3 a.m., moments before his death and spoke about his lingering health issues. He was pronounced dead by paramedics at 4:56 a.m.
