Betty White ‘This Close' To Hosting ‘SNL'; Could She Have Company?

If Betty White's "Saturday Night Live" hosting gig becomes a reality – the iconic comedienne might have some company.

While Betty is reportedly "this close" to her first hosting gig, she wouldn't be taking the stage alone.

According to Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello, the folks at "SNL" are considering a "Women of Comedy" episode that could include the likes of Betty, along with "SNL" alums Molly Shannon, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, a grassroots Facebook fan campaign was launched earlier this month begging "SNL" brass to get the former "Golden Girl" on their stage.

The "Betty White To Host SNL (please?)!" fan page currently boasts over 427,000 supporters.

In an interview with Matt Donnelly of the LA Times, White said she's ready to go "Live from New York" – it's just up to the man who created "Saturday Night Live."

"That would be up to Lorne Michaels," she said at the time.

When contacted by Access Hollywood, a rep for Betty wasn't immediately available for comment on the story.
