Eilsabeth Hasselbeck is giving up her regular morning "View" gig to tackle the world of sports – at least, for a day.
The "View" co-anchor will spend the day on January 19 working with ESPN at their studios in Bristol, Conn., where she will sit in for Tim – a former NFL quarterback – on "NFL Live" and other programs.
In exchange, Tim will join the ladies of "The View" on January 28 at the ABC studios in New York, where he'll take over his wife's seat at the table.
"So many times we ask, 'How did work go today?'" Elisabeth noted. "Undoubtedly we will be finding out the hard way as we switch jobs. The question then will be, 'What have we gotten ourselves into?'"
"Hopefully I can pull this off because I see her preparation on a regular basis each week – reading, and watching cable news shows, other television programs and upcoming movies. I will enjoy this because I know they will have fun with me at 'The View' and, of course, when I get back to work at ESPN," Tim added. "I'm sure I'll have a greater appreciation for what she does on a day-in and day-out basis."
Elisabeth and Tim wed in 2002 after they met at Boston College in the late 1990s. And while Tim's "Hot Topic" knowledge will be tested on "The View," sports are certainly nothing new for his wife.
While at Boston College, Elisabeth was the captain of the women's softball team which won back-to-back conference championships. She also ran the Boston Marathon in 1999.
Tim played for the Washington Redskins and New York Giants over his six-year NFL career.
His brother, Matt, is the current quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks.
