Who designed the dress Melissa McCarthy wore when she accepted her Emmy this year? Why, Melissa McCarthy. (As for the tiara...? We'll get back to you.)

Melissa McCarthy isn't keeping her original dress designs in her own wardrobe anymore. The comedienne and "Mike & Molly" star is launching a plus-sized clothing line, she told Us Weekly.

"I just want people to wear it and feel good about themselves," she said of her clothing. But she admitted, with a joke, that the plans haven't been completely hammered out yet.

"I haven't thought about anyone else but me! It's just a lame way to get me clothes I want," she kidded.

Many women with bigger bodies have long griped that they have trouble finding well-designed clothes that fit and flatter, and McCarthy agrees that there are sometimes slim pickings.

In fact, she found the pickings so slim that this summer she wound up designing her own dress to wear to the Emmys.

McCarthy's decision to launch a commercial line shouldn't come as a surprise, though.

"I went to school for clothes and textiles, so I always thought I was going to do women's clothing anyway," she said. She studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology before going into stand-up.

As for the designs? No word on what they might involve — but we're pretty certain there won't be any giant pink ruffles, a la those "Bridesmaids" dresses.
