Bristol Palin explains how hard she's working in the ballroom -- but is she dropping the pounds? Also, what's the progress of her next dance, the foxtrot? Plus, since she started "Dancing with the Stars," are the boys in LA lining up for a date?

Bristol Palin has made the finals on “Dancing with the Stars?” You betcha!

Sarah Palin’s daughter pulled off her biggest upset yet on ABC’s hit dance competition, with America voting her into next Tuesday’s finale and sending singer Brandy packing.

Despite having scored her highest marks of the season on Monday, it was still Palin's second week in a row at the bottom of the judges’ leaderboard.

“I think I should be in the finals because I started with no experience dancing or performing at all and I think I’ve come a long way,” she said Tuesday when asked why she should be allowed to continue.

Bristol Palin talks about "Tina Fey's" impersonation of Sarah Palin and addresses romance rumors about her "Dancing" partner.

"Dancing" host Tom Bergeron forecast that for week eight he would announce the “cruelest cut” yet on Tuesday’s results show. He wasn’t kidding.

Brandy looked stunned after learning her fate, having achieved a perfect score for her Argentine tango on Monday.

“I don’t know how to feel right now,” she said. “It hasn’t processed yet for me.”

Moments later tears were shown streaming down her face.

Judge Bruno Tonioli stated the obvious by calling the decision a “shock,” but reiterated “every vote counts.”

Also making the finals were “Dirty Dancing” actress Jennifer Grey and Disney star Kyle Massey, whose pro partner Lacey Schwimmer said  “no way” did she believe early on the spunky performer would make it so far.

Massey was asked to give advice to Palin and Brandy in the final minutes of Tuesday’s show.

“It sucks that one of them is going home,” he said. “Whatever happens just know you rock.”
