Can't get enough of British comedian Russell Brand? Fox certainly hopes so.

The network announced they have signed the comedian, actor, and husband of pop star Katy Perry to develop two television series for Fox and their affiliate channel FX.

Details are sketchy, but the the Fox series will be animated, while the FX series will, according to an official statement from the network, will be a late night talk show that will deliver an "unvarnished, unfiltered take on current events, politics, and pop culture."

“We’re very excited to add Russell Brand’s bracingly funny, original, and honest voice to the FX comedy lineup,” said FX executive VP of original programming Nick Grad said in a statement. “We look forward to supporting Russell and his partner Troy Miller’s ambition to strip down the hosted comedy format to its most fundamental elements and to create something daring and unfiltered for the FX audience.”

The "Get Him to the Greek" star has courted political controversy in the past - He was fired from his on-air hosting job at MTV UK after he showed up at work dressed as Osama bin Laden on September 12, 2001.

Brand is rapidly becoming a household name in the U.S., thanks to his relationship with Perry and roles in high profile comedies like "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" and the remake of the classic Dudley Moore film "Arthur."

FX, meanwhile, has become known as a network that will roll the dice on edgy comedy material, giving shows like "Louie," "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," and "Wilfred" a home.
