“Dancing With The Stars” Returns For 10th Season, ABC Announces “Bachelor Pad”

"Dancing With the Stars" will return to the television for its tenth season this March.

ABC announced on Tuesday that the dancing reality competition would return to the small screen with a two-hour season premiere on Monday March 22.

ABC Entertainment Group President Stephen McPherson told reporters at the Television Critics Association panel for the network on Tuesday that the show would be scaled back upon its return.

He told reporters the show would feature fewer celebrity contestants this time around as there were too many last season.

"We had some lucky breaks [with] people dropping out the last time," he added.

In addition to the "Dancing" news, McPherson revealed that ABC will be launching its rumored spin-off to reality dating show "The Bachelor," called "The Bachelor Pad," set to begin this summer.

McPherson also announced pickups for comedies "Cougar Town," "The Middle" and "Modern Family."
