The 3-D "Despicable Me": Minion Mayhem motion-simulator uses HD digital technology to take participants into the world of supervillain-with-a-heart-of-gold Gru, his three adopted daughters and the adorable yellow-hued, pill-shaped minions. (Published Wednesday, Jun 4, 2014)

If you've always wanted to hang out with super-villain Gru, his daughters and the mischievous pill-shaped Minions from "Despicable Me," this might be your chance.

Despicable Me Minion Mayhem is now open at Universal Studios Hollywood - in the form of a 3-D ride.

Visitors to the park can start their adventure in Gru's home, where they are recruited for his latest scheme -- one where participants get to become an actual Minion.

After making it through "Minion training," participants are launched into an unforgettable trip through Gru' laboratory.

If that's not enough - there's even an interactive, Minion-inspired dance party.

A re-creation of the seaside carnival, Super Silly Fun Land, from the first "Despicable Me" is also present in an all-new, over-the-top outdoor family play zone. Visitors will have a chance to play arcade games and win Minion game prizes -- maybe even an unicorn.
