A biopic series inspired by the late Grateful Dead is being developed for Amazon.

According to The Guardian, the show, which will be available for streaming, is based on former Jerry Garcia manager Steve Parish's 2003 memoir "Home Before Daylight: My Life on the Road With the Grateful Dead." The release date has not been announced.

In the meantime, Bay Area residents can dust off their Deadhead outfits on Sunday night for the book signing party of "This Is a Dream We All Dreamed: An Oral History of The Grateful Dead" by Blair Jackson and David Gans at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco. The evening will feature live tributes by local artists including Henry Kaiser with Matt Hartle, Doobie Decibel System, Melody Walker, and Sweet Blossom.
