Yahoo Inks Deal With Saturday Night Live

SNL content to be available exclusively on Yahoo.

Live -- and archived! -- on Yahoo... it's Saturday Night!

Beginning Sept. 1, Yahoo users will be able to access a plethora of Saturday Night Live clips from the show's inception in 1975 to the present, according to a press release circulated late Wednesday.

The deal, first hinted at in Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer's blog, was inked between the Sunnyvale-based Web giant and NBC Entertainment, which has broadcasted SNL for 38 years, according to Business Wire.

Users will have access to a "library" of show clips, some select musical performances, and will also be able to see some new episodes. There's also behind-the-scenes clips and takes from rehearsals, according to the news release.

Yahoo has been adding television shows to its digital offerings.
