Two of Australia’s finest exports, Hugh Jackman and Chris Hemsworth, donned mullets to play a game of Musical Beers.

Jackman is no stranger to the “business in the front, party in the back” hairstyle. The actor, who was on “The Tonight Show” Thursday promoting his sci-fi action movie “Chappie,” sported a mullet in the movie as well as when he met his wife 19 years earlier.

“I thought it was going to remind her of the early days when she fell in love with me,” Jackman said of his "Chappie" hairstyle. “Not so much. She told me to put a bag over my head.”

The host, never one to pass on a good joke, pulled out two mullet hair wigs for them to wear.

“Let’s keep these on for the rest of the interview,” Fallon said.

Fallon then invited Jackman to play the adult version of musical chairs, Musical Beers, and brought out “SNL” favorites Colin Jones, Kate McKinnon and Bobby Moynihan, as well as the show's host this weekend, Chris Hemsworth, to join the game.

Hemsworth, noticing Jackman’s hairstyle, requested a mullet of his own to rock.

In this version of the game, the group walked around a table while The Roots’ Questlove played the pop hit “Bang Bang” by Ariana Grande and Jessie J. When the music stopped, the contestants had to grab a cub of beer and whoever was empty handed stepped out.

The players dwindled quickly, and Jackman was knocked out early. In the end Fallon and Hemsworth were the last men standing, going head-to-head for the last cup. But it was a fast-acting move by the “Wolverine” actor, and not merit alone, that gave Fallon the game-winning beer.

Zoe Kravitz almost missed her “Tonight Show” appearance.

The "Divergent" actress was stuck in rush hour traffic Wednesday, and like a true New Yorker, jumped out of the car and hopped on the subway.

“People were calling to tell me I was late,” Kravitz said. “I was like, ‘I’m on D train.’ It was so much faster.”

Fallon asked the offspring of rocker Lenny Kravitz to thank her father for randomly picking him and his wife up at an airport in the Bahamas and getting them drunk off “Dark and Stormys.” Apparently, Fallon’s driver — who happened to be a friend of Kravitz — couldn’t make it to the airport and asked the "Fly Away" musician for a favor.

“I was like ‘What are you doing here man?’” Fallon said, confused about the encounter.

“I’m here to pick you up an take you to your boat,” Kravitz said.

The host, enamored by the Grammy Award winner’s humble gesture, proclaimed to be “officially in love with Lenny Kravitz as a human being.”

Fallon then challenged Zoe Kravitz to a game of Giant Beer Pong. The two players took turns attempting to throw giant Ping-Pong balls into oversized red Solo cups. And just like the famous drinking game, every time a player scored, the opponent had to chug a cup of beer.

Kravitz went first and nailed her shot like a college champ. Fallon went next, but failed to score a point.

“Jimmy, I’m disappointed,” said Kravitz. “You talked all this smack before the show,”

Both contestants failed to score on their second round, but Fallon did make a shot on his third try, forcing Zoe to take a drink.

“Chug it all,” Fallon rallied.

With the score tied, the next player to make a shot would win the game. Watch the video above to see who was declared the Giant Beer Pong Champion.

Ryan Reynolds loves being a father, but admitted that he could use more sleep.

The “Green Lantern” actor stopped by “The Tonight Show” Monday to talk about his new movie “The Woman in Gold” and chatted with Jimmy Fallon about his newborn daughter's "sleep allergy."

"We think that she thinks she's protecting us from the sleep monsters," Reynolds said. "She's like, 'Oh, I gotta keep them up or the sleep monsters will get them’.”

The 38-year-old actor even tried using “that Baby Einstein Stuff” to get the 9-week-old to nap, but revealed a major flaw in this method.

“For me, that's like horse tranquilizer," Reynolds joked. "I could go down on a lit stove."

Fallon then challenged Reynolds, who had yet to win a game on “The Tonight Show,” to play a round of “Egg Russian Roulette.”

“I always like to lose when I come play fun games,” Reynolds quipped. “I lost in Old Man Shuffleboard and Water War.”

Egg Russian Roulette is played with a carton of 12 eggs — eight boiled and four raw. Each contestant takes turns selecting one egg at a time and smashing it over their head. The first person to crack two raw eggs loses.

Reynolds went first, and feeling good about his choice, crushed the egg over his head without hesitation.

“In your face Jimmy,” he gloated while pointing at his opponent.

Next, Fallon selected an egg and immediately seemed to regret his choice.

“Oh no, I already know what’s going to go down,” Fallon cried as he broke a raw egg over his head.

The actor hit a streak of beginners luck, selecting a hard boiled egg on his second and third round.

“I’m still going to dinner after this,” Reynolds joked.

The host was also able to salvage his hair from yolk on his next two turns.

Reynolds finally picks one he’s “not confident about,” shaking the raw egg nervously as he smashed it over his head.

With the score tied, Fallon suggested they each grab an egg and simultaneously crack them on their heads.

Watch the clip to see if Reynolds was finally able to break his “Tonight Show” game losing streak.

<![CDATA[Jimmy Fallon Asks: What Color is #TheDress?]]> Sat, 28 Feb 2015 03:27:07 -0800 http://media.nbcbayarea.com/images/213*120/Jimmy-Fallon-Ponders-TheDress.jpg

The question that divided social media over the week also seemed to wreak havoc on "The Tonight Show" — or at least on the mind of its host.

“I apologize if I’m in a weird mood tonight," Jimmy Fallon said in his opening monologue Friday night. "I just lost all my friends over the color of a dress."

That would be #TheDress, which was so bafflingly polychromatic that it spawned a contentious debate (blue and black? white and gold?) and more than a few jokes.

“I think somebody should ask Obama, our country’s first gold president," he said.

“It’s gold history month,” quipped Fallon’s announcer, Steve Higgins.

Fallon wrestled with the question again in his weekly "Thank-You Notes" bit.

“Thank you, anonymous thief who stole Lupita Nyong’o’s $150,000 dress — or as the rest of the world calls it, not the dress we care about right now,” Fallon said. “It wasn’t blue and black, that’s all I’m saying.”

And when Fallon thanked the Cleveland Browns for introducing a new logo that's virtually identical to their old one ("more importantly: still not brown”), he nearly gave up on the question altogether.

“I don’t know what color anything is anymore," he said, before bursting into an impromptu “West Side Story”-styled song-and-dance number in the studio. (“Is it black and blue?! No it’s white and gold!”)

Comediennes Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer, whose Comedy Central show "Broad City" is in its second season, visited "Tonight" to play a game of "Truth or Truth" with Fallon.

“Have you ever stolen anything?" Jacobson cooly asked Fallon.

“No,” Fallon deadpanned. “Just a couple of TVs.”

Besides trying to eke out gossipy details from each other's pasts, the guests and the host tried to stay as straight-faced as possible — and make the others crack up with hilariously over-the-top renditions of "truth or truth?"

Josh Hutcherson — known for his role as Peeta Mellark in "The Hunger Games" movies — also stopped by the studio to talk about his role in Ron Howard's upcoming project, "The Trailer." Naturally, Fallon asked him about his Twitter account.

“You can drunk-text, right?" Hutcherson said. "If you drunk-tweet, it’s like 2.1 million times worse. It can take 12 years to build a career, and you can ruin it in 140 characters or less.”

Jimmy Fallon marked his one-year anniversary as Jay Leno’s successor on “The Tonight Show” with one very special treat.

The former “SNL” alum Tuesday unveiled a new Ben & Jerry’s ice cream flavor inspired by the late-night show: “Tonight Show Dough.”

The special pint will feature caramel and chocolate ice cream with chocolate cookie swirls, globs of chocolate-chip cookie dough and peanut butter cookie dough. All proceeds from sales of "Tonight Show Dough" will go to the non-profit organization SeriousFunChildren's Network.

This is the second collaboration between the Vermont-based dairy company and Fallon. In 2011 Ben & Jerry’s created “Late Night Snack” to commemorate Fallon’s former gig as the host of “Late Night.”

Taylor Swift also stopped by to congratulate Fallon on his one-year tenure and chatted with the host about their experience jamming out with Paul McCartney at the "SNL" 40th anniversary after-party.

“Where you freaking out as much as I did?” Fallon asked.

“Yes,” Swift said. “This is the reason for all the guitar lessons.”

Fallon mentioned that he was a little upset at the “Shake It Off” singer for having fun and dancing around at awards shows without him.

“That was our thing,” Fallon said.

“I’m sorry I forgot about that being our exclusive thing,” Swift said.

Fallon revealed that Swift attended various New York sporting events with him and the duo would “give it their all” on the jumbo-tron.

“We contacted the arenas around New York and actually got some random jumbo-tron footage,” Fallon said.

“Are we in it?” Swift asked.

“We’re actually a lot of it,” Fallon said.

To help remind the Grammy award-winning artist of their dancing past, Fallon played some of the “dance cam” footage he dug which included a Brooklyn Nets game, a New York Giants game, and a New York Islanders game.
