Law enforcement finish processing scene on Branciforte in Santa Cruz where two fellow officers were killed on Feb. 27, 2103.

Santa Cruz Police Officers Killed in Line of Duty

Two police officers, Det. Sgt. Loran "Butch" Baker and Det. Elizabeth Butler, were killed on Feb. 27, 2013. The suspect, who was also killed, was Jeremy Goulet, 35. It was the first time police officers were killed in the line of duty in Santa Cruz.
