New Charity Organization Honors "Man in the Mirror"
Group asks Michael Jackson fans to make charitable donations

There's a new Web site dedicated to helping fans honor Michael Jackson by making charitable donations.
The Man in the Mirror Project asks "This Is It" concert tour ticketholders to pledge their ticket refunds to charities supported by the late pop star.
"Web sites such as The Man in the Mirror Project, founded by a group of San Diego residents, are encouraging Jackson's fans to pledge donations to causes Jackson supported during his life," said Laura Kuhlemann, a San Diego native who is one of the organizers of the group.
Kuhlemann said she got the idea after Jackson died last week, then floated it to some friends in San Diego County and the Los Angeles area who were also ticketholders, and the idea ballooned from there.
The site went live Sunday evening. By Wednesday, there were two fan pages on Facebook, and there was also a group dedicated to the Man in the Mirror Project.

With great sadness we mourn the passing of Michael Jackson, the King of Pop. Michael's unparalleled talent as a musician, performer and dancer inspired and shaped generations worldwide. Less appreciated -- but equally significant -- is his charitable work. The Man in the Mirror Project honors Michael's life, advocates awareness of Michael's favored causes and encourages donations in Michael's memory."
Some of the charities Jackson supported, according to the Web site, include Aids Project LA, Project Angel Food, Big Brothers and many others.
