    Maloney's husband died while mountain climbing in Tibet.

    An aide to U.S. Rep. Carolyn Maloney says her husband has died on a mountain climbing expedition in Tibet.

         Clifton Maloney was 71. The millionaire investment banker, a former vice president at Goldman Sachs, reports NY1,  was an avid climber.
        
    His death was confirmed Saturday by Maloney spokesman Joe Soldevere. He says the congresswoman's office was informed of his death on Friday.
        
    Details on how he died were not immediately available.

    Maloney and her husband have two daughters, Christina and Virginia. Clifton Maloney's financial career made his wife one of the richest members of Congress, according to a 2006 article by Roll Call.
