There were reports Sunday that budget airline London Ryanair was drawing up plans to offer "very cheap" trans-Atlantic flights -- some for under $13.
And yes, SFO was one of the airports in the new offer.
An official announcement was expected sometime Monday, but Ryanair denied the reports.
The company said no firm announcement would be made until the company's half-yearly results were published.
That happened at the close of business and the carrier fell conspicuously silent since then.
Along with San Francisco, the other cities included in the deal are New York, Boston and Los Angeles.
CEO Michael O'Leary said seats in the economy class will be very cheap -- around 10 euros, or $12.70. The price will jump dramatically in business class.
O'Leary called that ticket "very expensive."
He said, "There's always 10-15 percent who'll pay whatever it costs for a wide seat."
