Levi’s Stadium is not only putting fans in the seats, but it is also putting a lot of people into Santa Clara hotels.
The Santa Clara Chamber of Commerce said hotels near the stadium averaged 85 percent occupancy over the last few months. And for the first time ever, the hotels averaged $200 per night.
"I've talked to people at the hotels that are coming as far as the East Coast to see some of these games, and Canada," Santa Clara Chamber of Commerce CEO Steve Van Dorn said.
There are several developments in the works in the area, including plans from former 49er quarterback Joe Montana to build a new hotel.
