BART Coliseum Station Reopened After Bomb Threat

Normal services have resumed at the BART Coliseum station as police continue to investigate a bomb threat Friday morning, a BART spokesperson said.

Passengers should expect to see residual delays.

The station opened partially around 8:45 a.m. and fully reopened about 9 a.m. Police continue to sweep the station with the help of sniffer dogs.

The Coliseum Station was closed at 7:40 a.m. and people were evacuated. No trains were running through Coliseum at that time and lines were being turned back.

According to BART, a person apparently heard of a threat and called 911. The 911 caller was not the person making the threat.

Investigators, including BART polcie and the Alameda County Sheriff's Department is still on scene investigating the threat.

BART was reporting major delays in the Dublin / Pleasanton, Fremont, Richmond and San Francisco directions due to the police activity at Coliseum Station.

AC Transit provided  bus service from the Bay Fair Station to the Coliseum.

A detailed BART serviced advisory was issued.
