Stolen Vehicle Pursuit Ends in Compton

A 90-minute chase came to an end Monday evening after officers shocked the woman driving a stolen vehicle with a stun gun. 

The pursuit began around 6:55 p.m. in Compton.

California Highway Patrol officers were pursuing the stolen vehicle on the southbound 405 Freeway and continued on to the 110, 105 and 710 freeways and along surface streets. 

The vehicle was stolen out of the Compton area, according to CHP. 

The pursuit ended in Compton around 8:30 p.m. after the driver ditched the stolen Nissan Rogue and hid behind a wall. 

After walking away from officers, the suspect was shocked with a stun gun. 

Aerial footage from NewsChopper 4 showed the suspect being treated for unknown injuries.
