Dedicated Chargers fans were in for a treat Tuesday as the team provided die-hard fanatics free tattoos.
Those willing to sport the white and blue logo got the tattoo fee covered by the team starting at 1 p.m. at the Shamrock Social Club in West Hollywood.
Due to the "overwhelming" turnout, the maxium number of tattoos was reached by 5 p.m., hours before the 1 a.m. close time, the team said.
Participants had the option of selecting any one of the numerous Chargers and team-themed tattoos available.
The event was the latest in a series of efforts to "Fight for L.A.," in which the Chargers hope to earn a larger fan base for their new territory. The team have released numerous short films that express how they aim to earn the respect of LA residents.
