Authorities were searching for two men in connection with the theft of a donation canister intended for childrens' Christmas gifts in Big Bear, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.
The men walked into a 7-Eleven store around 3:30 a.m. Saturday at Big Bear and Summit boulevards. As the store clerk turned his back, one of the men took the donation canister off of the front counter as the other man appeared to look out, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.
Authorities said the canister contained about $200 intended to buy Christmas presents for children as part of the "Shop with a Cop" program.
