Dog Tossed Off Cliff Goes Home With Loving Family

You couldn't ask for a better ending!

After a heartbreaking story emerged - along with stomach-churning video - of a dog being tossed off a cliff and left for dead, there's a tremendous update: the pit bull mix is going to a new forever home Wednesday.

The pup, named Hera Grrl, was reunited with the Roque family after they fostered her amid the animal abuse investigation.

A man was captured on video tossing Hera over a steep cliff in City Terrace.

Hera was recused and placed with the Roque family as the Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control tried to track down the man.

"The Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control was shocked and horrified to see this video. Animal cruelty is a serious crime, and the Department is thoroughly investigating this case to identify the perpetrator and identify which criminal charges may be referred to the District Attorney's office. We hope this individual will be identified, so we can complete our investigation and find justice for the beautiful, sweet dog," the department said.

In the meantime, Hera's wagging tail says it all as she goes on to live her happy pup life.
