Man Who Solicited Minors on Facebook Gets 29-Year Sentence

Federal officials say a Northern California man has been sentenced to 29 years in federal prison for tricking girls into sending him sexually explicit photographs he then used to extort them.

U.S. Attorney Benjamin B. Wagner says 23-year-old Jordan James Kirby was sentenced Friday for production of child pornography and enticement of a minor.

According to court documents, the man from Paradise, California, used various online identities on Facebook to solicit the photographs. Kirby's initial posts said he was an agent for a modeling agency and offered thousands of dollars to girls for photographs of themselves in various stages of undress.

Kirby pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Sacramento in March.

He will be required to register as a sex offender for victimizing girls who were between the ages of 10 and 15.
