Rescue Crews Scour Lake Tahoe Mountains for Missing Ski Instructor

Rescue crews resumed their search for a missing ski instructor Saturday morning after heavy snowfall in Lake Tahoe halted the previous night’s exhaustive search.

The instructor, identified as Carson May, was reported missing Thursday. He had the day off from work and had gone up to the hill to ski, friends said.

During Friday’s search, people on skis and snow mobiles scoured the mountains in Placer County and focused primarily on the back country, behind the Sugar Bowl resort area, where they believe May was headed.
