US Marine Fatally Shot Outside San Bernardino Strip Club Identified

A U.S. Marine who was fatally shot outside a San Bernardino strip club early Sunday morning has been identified.

The 20-year-old marine was identified as Douglas Rivas-Rauda of Twentynine Palms by the San Bernardino County Coroner's officials on Monday. 

The shooting occurred in the parking lot of Flesh Club Showgirls located in the 100 block of Hospitality Lane shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday, according to Sgt. Vicki Cervantes with the San Bernardino Police Department.

When officers arrived, they found a victim with multiple shotgun wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Rivas-Rauda was with a group of other marines at the club, Cervantes said. He was stationed at Twentynine Palms.

Preliminary reports indicate there was no altercation before the shooting, police said. 

A suspect description was not made available. The cause of the shooting was under investigation.
