One burger chain has engineered a sandwich that encompasses an entire Thanksgiving meal.
The Holiday Bird, as it is called, is available at Umami Burger's Bay Area locations in San Francisco, Oakland and Palo Alto.
Throughout the holiday season, diners can try two patties — one made of turkey and the other of cornbread stuffing — between buns piled with turkey gravy, spiced yams, ginger-cranberry chutney and fried sage.
The Southern California-based chain is known for creating special sandwiches that benefit charitable causes. One dollar from each Holiday Bird sandwich is donated to Meals on Wheels.
