Much has been made of Michelle Obama’s style, of course, including her chic hair.

We met stylist Yusef, (yes, just one name!), from the Paul Labrecque Salon in New York, who is part of Michelle’s Glam Squad. He styled her hair for People and Essence photo shoots and for her big speech at the Democratic National Convention.

“She just wanted to be sleek, clean and finished!” Yusef said.

Mission accomplished! And Yusef reveals how you can get Michelle’s simple and sleek look.

Start by blow drying hair.

“Just creating volume, going in at the root, because we don’t like flat hair, can’t have flat hair!”

….“our First Lady do!”

As for the inauguration, if Yusef is asked to style Michelle’s hair, he would suggest an up-do.

“At this point, everyone wants a piece of Michelle Obama, designers, makeup artists, stylists, so I’ll keep my fingers crossed.”

  • Proud2BAmerican Wednesday, Nov 19 at 6:41 PM FLAG COMMENT I find it sad that in the 21st century that small, narrow minds and bigotry are still alive and well. Such crude and hateful comments about a beautiful woman with a phenomenal mind and command of the English language. I guess those that are insecure will always focus on racial slurs and derogatory terms as a means of trying to belittle one who has accomplished so much.
